"There are many contra dance bands that attempt to put a new spin on the music; not all are up for the challenge. Hu$hmoney, however, is comprised of excellent musicians with a wonderfully creative flair. I can just see the dancers cheering with terpsichorean delight!"
--Sing Out! Magazine
Hu$hmoney is a stringband comprised of David Rice on fiddle and guitar, Bryan Thomas on bass and foot percussion, and Tina Bergmann on hammered dulcimer and djembe. Listeners and dancers are treated to a changing soundscape of lead instruments, textures and percussion with a whole lot of groove. Hu$hmoney performs a mix of American old-time music and Celtic jigs and reels, and has played for dancers in a multitude of states. Hu$hmoney is also available to do special events with the addition of a caller, and regularly does school events, wedding receptions, festivals and other events.
